Anonymity for the Collaboration Survey
The benefit of this survey can only be realised if those giving feedback have confidence that
they can be open and honest with their responses. This is the best way to help people
build greater collaboration. It is easy to say that anonymity is
guaranteed; however, more importantly, people need to have confidence that this is the case. To
build confidence, we want to be very explicit about the process
and also specific features we have
built into the survey to protect anonymity and increase honest disclosure.
Features to Protect Anonymity
- This tool has been designed specifically to collect information about the quality of
collaborative relationships. It is not a general-purpose tool used for many different purposes.
- Unless you tell them, the person running the survey will not know you have completed feedback.
- When you score the statements in the survey, your answers will be added to the scores of
everyone else and averaged. No scores will be reported until at least five people have completed
feedback.
- The survey report allows for average scores (and standard deviations) to be shown
for the total population, the organisation running the survey and the other
organisation they are building a collaborative relationship with. At least five people must have
given feedback in each category for any scores to be shown. For example, if
you work for ABC and are the only one to give feedback, the only average that will
be visible to the trainee will be that of the total population.
- Some clients have disabled the ability to group scores and the status of this feature will be
made explicit when responding to an invite to participate in a survey.
- During the data collection phase, the person running the survey will only be able to see
completion statistics, such as how many people invited have provided feedback from each category. To
see the report, they will have to close the survey preventing further feedback.
- If you add comments (optional) you will need to ensure that they are non-attributable as
they will be displayed in the report verbatim.
- Once the survey has been completed, the trainee may share the final report at
their discretion. When working with clients, we determine a clear policy which is described on the
page welcoming you to complete feedback.
- Data collected via the Collaboration Survey is specifically excluded from any client contract to
prevent the client gaining control of the data.
- We make use of the latest Encryption and Security measures to protect against unauthorised access.
- The Gautrey Group operates in full compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the
Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.
