On 29th November, the Association of MBAs are holding one of their regular networking events at
Manchester Business School. The topic of the evening will be leadership, and
Colin Gautrey has been invited to
share his latest thinking on the topic.
Never afraid to be a little controversial, Colin will outline where he believes leadership
development practice is going wrong and how leaders are getting distracted. Distracted by their
attempts to develop and also by those trying to develop them.
Instead of leaving people high and dry wondering what to do, he will also share some ideas on how
ambitious leaders can...
- Focus on tangible development initiatives.
- Protect themselves from well-meaning but misguided trainers.
- Become passionate, empowered, self-directed learners.
- Increase the speed of their development and success.
Joining him for the panel discussion afterwards will be Commander Philip Parvin, a former Admiral in the
Royal Navy and passionate supporter of Continuing Professional Development.
